P&L Exit, Add Profit protection with trailing

@Mohseen_Usmani

Thank you for rolling out the P&L Exit with Kill-Switch features — these are excellent tools for managing trading risk.

I now request you to quickly extend the functionality to include:

  • Add PROFIT PROTECTION to this system — allowing traders to lock a portion of their running profit instead of giving it all back.

  • Trailing Profit Protection —If possible, a TRAILING PROFIT PROTECTION option would make it even more effective.

Hey @NAYAK, Great to hear you liked the P&L Exit feature.

We’ve noted your suggestions for profit protection and trailing profit protection. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.

- I have already mailed this protect profit idea to the Dhan team last week.

As this is a must add on to the existing P&L exit, can we have approx release timeline ?

Even after reaching good profits, emotions often take over and wipe out the entire day profits. If profit protection was available, many such days — and capital — could be saved.

This small enhancement can protect capital, profits, and mental peace for thousands of intraday and options traders like me.

Kindly request you to prioritise and share an approximate timeline for releasing Profit Protection (If possible with Trailing Profit Protection)

Recently launched P&L exit with kill switch is already a life saver.

Thank you for genuinely building trader-first features.

With reference to the trail, expecting a reply..

Kindly request you to prioritise and share an approximate timeline for releasing Profit Protection (If possible with Trailing Profit Protection)

Hi @NAYAK, Sorry for missing this earlier, and thank you for your detailed explanation.

At the moment, Profit Protection with trailing is not part of our current roadmap. That said, we will discuss this internally to explore how profit protection and trailing features can be integrated with Set P&L in the future. Meanwhile, you can continue using individual trailing stop-loss orders as an alternative.
