It is highly appreciated and much convenient if features/settings/layouts are synced within Dhan app & Option-Trader app.
I stumbled upon multiple instances where features/settings/layouts differ from eachother, which is highly inconvenient. For an instance, the alerting feature. Here are the snippets for your reference -
OT:
Hii @khulsat , thank you for your feedback regarding adding technical alerts to the Option Trader application and web platform. Most of the features are synced across all Dhan platforms, and we have shared your suggestion with our team for consideration.
I have stopped using the OT app and now follow a simple process to set alerts through web.dhan.co. Using Web OT sometimes for some very specific cases. Be at peace and focus on what works for you .
Hi @khulsat Just want to clarify - we have treat all Dhan platforms independent of each other with common underlying infrastructure for execution of trades, portfolio, orders and margins.
All features on these platforms are rolled out and enhanced / removed based on usage of each one of them. These will continue to be the same and we do not aim to keep them in sync or ship them at the same time. Only when features mature to a level of common experience, they move up to the zone where they will be similar.
Hope this clarifies and also helps you with your expectations when using them.
@nitishbangera ,
Even I am using OT app unwillingly. Two accounts’ preferences (favourite layout) under Dhan app are messing with eachother; hence the OT app.
I would humbly advice to brainstorm this theory within team. I understand that the use cases might be different; but basic functionalities should be kept uniform.
Though the platforms are indipendent to eachother, all are part of Dhan ecosystem. Right?
Another instance is : in-app chart layouts. Dhan app has updated layout whereas OT app has legacy one.
