Real-time Indices Ticker on DEXT T3 Menu Bar

Hi Dhan Team,

First of all, congratulations on the launch of DEXT T3! The performance and the widget-based customization are truly impressive and a big step up for desktop traders.

I have a suggestion that I believe would add immense value to the “Power Trader” experience: A Sticky Indices Bar at the Top.

Currently, we have a very clean top menu bar. It would be extremely helpful if we could have an option to pin Real-time Indices (Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, FinNifty, etc.) directly onto that top bar.

Why this is needed:

  • Contextual Awareness: Traders often get “tunnel vision” when focusing on a single stock chart or option chain. Having the Nifty/Bank Nifty movement visible at all times helps in understanding the broader market trend without switching layouts.

Thanks,
Shri

Hey Shri! Great observation, but if you look at the DEXT T3 menu bar, Dhan has already provided a very advanced Indices Ticker. :rocket:

You can not only see Nifty/Bank Nifty but also customize it. Click on the ‘Ticker Settings’ icon and you can:

  1. Use the ‘+ Add Stock’ button to pin any index like Sensex or FinNifty.

  2. Control the Scroll Speed from Very Slow to Fast.

It’s already there and works perfectly for ‘Contextual Awareness’. Give it a try! :+1::chart_increasing:

"I appreciate the tip on Ticker Settings, but I am specifically requesting a Fixed (Non-Moving) Index Bar.

A scrolling ticker requires the eye to ‘track’ the movement, which can be inefficient during fast scalp trades. Having a button to ‘Lock/Freeze Ticker’ so that Nifty 50 and Bank Nifty stay stationary in the top menu would be a huge UX improvement for those of us who prefer a cleaner, static interface. Can we get a toggle for ‘Static vs. Scrolling’?"

Understood your point, Shri! That’s actually a very valid point for active scalpers. Eye-tracking a moving ticker during high volatility can be distracting. A toggle between ‘Static vs Scrolling’ view would indeed be a huge UX upgrade for DEXT T3. :chart_increasing:

Supporting this! Hope the team @Mohseen_Usmani considers this ‘Freeze Ticker’ option as well.

Thanks for the support! Really appreciate you tagging the team

Hi @shri, we have pin index feature available on Dhan Web and our team will review your feedback to add such functionality on T3 as well. Thank you for your valuable input.

Thanks for the response! Great to know it’s under review.

yes, pinning is much better as most people would want to constantly track max 2-3 indices not more than that so static monitoring is better than a moving ticker! hopefully soon this will be implemented.
