I am writing to request an important feature related to the utilisation of collateral margin. As of now, the collateral margin provided can be used for both option buying and option selling. However, option buying carries significantly higher risk, and using collateral margin for it exposes my investments to unnecessary volatility.
To manage my risk effectively, I would like to request the addition of a feature where clients can choose whether their collateral margin should be enabled for:

Only Option Selling, or

Only Option Buying, or
-
Both (default)
This selection option will help traders like me control how our collateral is used. Personally, I wish to enable only option selling using my pledged collateral, as it aligns better with my risk profile and is safer from a margin perspective. I mainly trade intraday, and having this control will help me avoid accidental option buying positions.
I kindly request your team to consider implementing this feature, as it will greatly improve risk management for many traders.
