(Resolved) Respond Fast! Option to pledge shares bought via MTF

I am not getting that option : “Authorize pending MTF orders” on dhan app. I have to do it befre 9 PM

Dear @explrorer

Please DM your details to check further.

Hi @explrorer,

Request you to please refresh and check now.

Thanks, It worked now

Hello @Sameet @Pranita I had bought additional 105 shares via MTF. The cash balance at the time of buying those shares was negligible but the order went through. I assumed
that my cash balance will go negative which I will make positive by adding cash. And I added cash on the same day ( the day I bought shares via MTF ). But my cash balance next day ( i.e. today ) didn’t decrease. It looks like Dhan provided me leverage more than what they stated for L&T

@Pranita @Sameet Please this is urgent. I don’t want to land in a trouble later

Hi @explrorer,

We are reviewing your query and will provide you with a resolution shortly.

Hi @explrorer,

Your MTF purchase of L&T has been adjusted against the pledge margin available in your account. As a result, your cash margin remains unused and is reflected as positive.

@Siyanka But why would that happen? AFAIK one need to put in some cash margin for MTF purchase. Pledge margin can’t be alternative for cash margin. Also how would the interest be charged now. In case of L&T 27.99% of funds has to be provided by the user which I assumed to be cash. Will the interest be charged on full 100% or (100-27.99)%

Hi @explrorer,

For MTF trades, we prioritize the pledge value over the cash balance when collateral margin is available in your account. This approach ensures you can withdraw your cash seamlessly. Please note that interest will be charged on 100% of the utilized pledge amount.

@Siyanka Which basically means if I buy some shares and their value is x at the time of buying then I will be charged interest on x. User’s margin funding( a part of x ) requirements will come from already available pledge margin which will attract interest charges at the rate of 0.0438%. So you are basically providing MTF facility without need of any cash. This is good! Am I right?

Edit: One more question I have is : When for user’s margin fund requirements you use pledge margin. Will it be cash collateral margin or non-cash collateral margin or mix of both?
