hi @Dhan, @PravinJ sir, currently order placement time is being shown in the orders tab. Isn’t it illogical to show order placed time rather than the execution time for the orders executed? Obviously, this time shown contradicts with the blue & red order arrows being shown on the charts. Currently we need to open the trade details in the executed order to spot the order executed time. I feel it is extremely important to show the order execution time so that user can see the price available at that point easily (tick by tick).
Hi @sri1647 Order placement time is something that most users know, order execution time is a function of many things - and everything at exchange.
Additionally, many orders have multiple trades and there are also instances when the full order is not complete and gets partially filled. There will be such exception scenario always, which is why in details we display all individual trades.
Got it sir, but order placed time won’t give the real picture. Today I had placed an order and got executed after 1 hr. When I saw orders window, it is showing 1 hr back time and I got surprised thinking that how the order will be executed when the price itself is not matching at that point of time. This time matters mostly when there is technical glitches in the system and clients has to suffer the losses.
For the exceptions pointed out by you, you can simply show the final execution or cancellation time with more details at trade level.
Yes, there will be always these one of cases that will make one feel odd for a moment. Trading systems are complex and we don’t want users to keep seeing random time stamps - at times for final execution or cancellations. Things need to be finite and consistent.
Whenever there is execution of order, irrespective of when that’s placed - users get notifications for same.
