(Responded) Web allocation deallocation mail from MCX

I was getting below email from MCX with my Dhan UCC Code from last 3-4 weeks. I don’t do commodity trading.

When I asked dhan customer care, they said that a normal account is created with all exchanges and they are sending this email. When I said I didn’t opt for commodity trading with dhan, they are telling normal account will be created with all exchanges by dhan and there is no trading account of me with MCX.

I don’t understand how can an account be created with an exchange without opting for it. This gives me concern on the governance at dhan.

when I asked why there is amount mentioned in the email, they are telling it’s not my amount and dhan is allocating their amount which I think is not correct. Only if I have balance in my dhan account, I am getting email with around 20% mentioned in the email.

Then they said I have to contact exchange. When I insisted on they should answer, the customer care rep took some time and said I won’t be getting such email further.
My guess is that whatever allocation/deallocation is happening, it will still happen, just that I won’t be notified by some setting from their end. If this is the case, they are just not solving the issue/question I raised.

Can some one more knowledgeable from dhan explain this issue ?

Hi @hemanthchandra62 Hemanth I guess this is supposed to be an internal process at exchanges, and it shouldn’t be sent to the users. We will ask our team to raise the same with exchange.

Exchanges and corresponding clearing corporations for every exchange are inter-operable in the backend and the margins, its utilisation and allocation are marked in real-time across exchanges for all clients. This is across every stock broking platform.

Thanks for highlighting, we will ask our teams to check.

I haven’t traded on MCX for a single day through Dhan but still getting this mail from last 5 days

Thank goodness. I thought this was another regulatory spam.
