Safe exit feature in Dhan

Hi Team,
Could you please add safe exit feature to dhan app just like in Groww app. We want this feature as this is very useful if want to define our loss in a day that will square off our open positions automatically if any sudden spikes come.

Set Alert for Heavy Losses:

This is simpler to explain, everyone wants to make profits in markets - but losses do happen, and at times more frequently than you would expect. And this could be a result of many things - markets were volatile, the direction has changed, did not exit early enough, and so on.

Most Super-Traders we interact with, have shared some of their insights with us and one of them that stuck with us is - we fix the maximum loss we want to take from markets whenever we trade and keep the profits we take unlimited.

Building on this insight, we introduced ‘SOS for Heavy-Losses’ under Trader Controls, and here is how you activate this on the Dhan app:

1. Go to your Profile on the Dhan app by tapping on the Profile Pic or from the side menu.
2. In Trader Controls, select Trade SOS: Alert for Heavy-Losses.
3. Set the value on which you want to be alerted. The minimum here is a loss of INR 1000 that you can set for the day.

Now, on every trading day, when you exceed the daily limit set for loss alert - you will be alerted on your Positions (position section) on the Dhan app that you are in losses over the daily limit that has been set by you.

@Divyesh Thanks for the reply. I know this feature only sends alerts for the set limit but can we have a feature to square off the open positions by setting the limit? As this feature is much needed.

May I know how safe exit is different from stop loss? I am a newbie here, pardon me if the question is silly…

safe exit

Safe exits means suppose you set your safe exits limit to 1000
Now if your intraday total postion loss exceed 1000 it will exit automatically. While
Stoploss is different suppose you place a order of 100 rs & current price is 110 now you place a stoploss at 105 to prevent loss.

Thanks Buddy. I got it now. As far as i know, SL is per stock level, whereas Safe exit is for all intraday transactions. I hope the safe exit overrides the SL if mentioned at stock level.

Better to have it on strategy builder on per strategy basis for max loss or profit. or even for individual positions as well .
