Hi @anwarultqm

Thanks for sharing your suggestion on bringing in SSO login. Currently, we are evaluating what alternative login ids we can give. We will surely let you know if we plan on bringing it.

When I open ScanX, it should auto redirect to Dhan and login me in to ScanX

For example, when I am using Kite Zerodha and logged it, when I open Coin or Console, it auto logs me in.

Yeah! this is an issue. There’s a workaround though. When prompted for login, close the tab and again go for scanx.trade via already logged in Dhan tab like tv.dhan.co or web.dhan.co

This is what I am doing currently, but would like for this to be fixed, seems easy

Absolutely. These types of things shouldn’t be there at the first place.

Hi @anwarultqm @vishaln @Shally Please note that if you already have a logged in session on Dhan, you can go from that to ScanX in a logged-in way.

If one has to choose platform to login first can be selected via: https://login.dhan.co/

Additionally, ScanX also has integrated trading & investing. So we have to follow all security and audit protocols that we have for any trading platform.

Hi @PravinJ ji,

See this: I am already logged onto web.dhan.co but when I go to scanx.trade it is not already logged in.

This is what we are talking about.

Yes, this is what I meant @PravinJ. Even when opening ScanX directly, it should ideally check if there is Dhan session active and auto login like Zerodha does for Coin, Console.

See here: my tabs on tv.dhan.co are logged and streaming data but web.dhan.co is asking to login again.

Not sure what is the logic behind this? And where’s the unified login then?

I logged into Dhan on this laptop yesterday evening at around 6 pm. And then shut down the laptop around 11 after closing browser directly. I didn’t log out of Dhan (I normally don’t do because this is a personal laptop).

Now, in the morning, I opened laptop again and typed web.dhan.co. It logged me in automatically. I started using charts in multiple tabs on tv.dhan.co. All was working fine.

Around 11 am, one chart tab logged out and I promptly entered PIN and it got logged in again.

Then on the other tabs, they logged out but automatically logged in (because I had already entered PIN on one of the tabs which logged out first). Even this behaviour is problematic because I have change scrips and layouts again and again.

But now when I went to the tab of web.dhan.co, it logged out and instead of automatically logging me in, or at most asking for a PIN, it is asking me to login through the whole process of providing OTP.

Why there is no sync in the process on Dhan platforms? Why such bugs are present even after so long?

@Shally Only solution I know is to open “Dhan web” using top left dropdown menu on “TradingView Dhan” page.

Nope @Shally These are not bugs, the platforms are designed to perform like this.

If you are logged-in on Dhan, it does not mean there will be a log-in session created by ScanX by default.

All Dhan platforms - Options Trader, Charts, DhanHQ, ScanX - are trading platforms and need to be certified for the login & authentication norms that are prescribed by exchanges & auditors.

Hope this clarifies @vishaln. Yes @DSingh you can do that from a logged-in session of Dhan.

Hi @PravinJ,

Ignore ScanX. I just did the post on topic of ScanX login. But my post is about non-syncing of login between tv.dhan.co and web.dhan.co

If a user closes browser window and reboots PC, then again goes to Dhan, it should ask for fresh login. But it doesn’t happen. Instead, the session logs off during market hours.

Also, in the case I reported, I was already logged in to tv.dhan.co, then why need to login again to web.dhan.co?

If I am not wrong that is happening like @PravinJ mentioned because each website will have its own 24 hours token validity so it may log you out on “Dhan web” but you may be logged into “TV Dhan” . Instead of logging separately, try the way I suggested above. In short, token validity of each website is separate and not synced.

okay, I thought tv.dhan, web.dhan and options trader.dhan are similar platform and governed by exchange guidelines, so login should by synced. Anyways!

Now suddenly logins are synced. I don’t need to login to ScanX when I login to Dhan. I clicked login on ScanX and it auto redirected and logged me in.

Did anything change in this last month @PravinJ?
