Stratezy Intraday Short position or Position on upper circuit

I am a first-time user of Stratezy’s premium intraday trading service and encountered an issue today with Suzlon, which was trading at the upper circuit (UC). Despite this, Stratezy’s algorithm executed a trade in the opposite direction, contrary to standard practices that advise against trading against UC/LC (lower circuit) scenarios. This resulted in an unintended position being opened in my account.

Stratezy’s response — stating that “if the MIS position isn’t closed due to the circuit, it will convert to CNC” — feels inadequate, especially since this error originated from their system. As a paying customer, I expect accountability for such technical oversights.

Key Concerns:

  1. Algorithm Reliability: Why did the system disregard the UC status?
  2. Broker-Specific Implications (Dhan):
    • What happens to the MIS position if Suzlon remains in UC until market close?
    • Will Dhan auto-square off the position at EOD, or will it convert to CNC?
    • How does Dhan’s RMS (Risk Management System) handle such scenarios?

I request clarity on Dhan’s policies to avoid unintended overnight positions or penalties. Kindly confirm the exact procedure and whether manual intervention (e.g., contacting support) is required.

Help me out if any one faced this earlier.
