Suggestion to Enhance Phone App Position Dual View – Security-wise P&L Tracking

Hi Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement to the Positions section to enhance the user experience and make it easier to track individual stock positions.

1. Security-wise Position View

It would be great if the Position Dual View could be enhanced to display all positions security-wise, with each stock shown separately in the Open Positions and Closed Positions tabs.

For example, if I have multiple open or closed positions in the diffrent stocks, I should be able to view all trades separately (Not combined P&L currently displayed) along with it’s realized and unrealized gains/losses.

This would make it easier to track every single position, understand the overall performance of each stock, and monitor trades without having to switch between different tabs.

2. Overall P&L at the Top of the Tabs

It would also be helpful to display the Total P&L prominently at the top of both the Open Positions and Closed Positions tabs, along with the overall realized and unrealized gains/losses wherever applicable.

I believe these enhancements would significantly improve the usability of the Positions section and provide a more seamless trading experience.

The position line shows P&L based on the average price, not individual trades, as per industry-standard practice. For trade-wise P&L, you can refer to the Global Transaction Statement available under Journal.
On web.dhan.co > Profile > Get reports on Journal > Statements & Reports > Global transaction statement.

We have your feedback on showing unrealised P&L in the Positions tab.

Thank you for your response, Some brokers, such as Zerodha and Angel One, provide a dual-mode feature that allows users to track stocks individually — especially useful when managing multiple open positions — making it easier to monitor all positions at a glance with live P&L, even while viewing another stock’s chart for analysis. I have attached a snippet for clarity on the requested feature.

You can view your open positions under the Positions tab on the chart. We understand your suggestion to display complete scrip details there and have noted it for future enhancement.
