I am currently in the process of consolidating my entire investment and mutual fund portfolio from Groww and Dhan into a single, lifelong primary account. My goal is to use Dhan as my sole brokerage platform; however, there are several critical functional gaps that currently necessitate my continued use of Groww.
To facilitate a complete transition, I would like to highlight the following areas for improvement:
1. Expanded Access to NFOs (Mutual Funds & ETFs)
Currently, New Fund Offers (NFOs) from major AMCs (such as Axis, ICICI, and Groww) are readily available on the Groww platform but are missing from Dhan. Furthermore, Groww offers a dedicated interface for ETF NFOs, which appears to be absent on Dhan. This forces me to divert capital to another broker to participate in new market opportunities.
- Request: Please integrate a comprehensive NFO section for both Mutual Funds and ETFs to ensure users can invest in new offerings directly through Dhan.
2. UI Enhancement: Visibility of Full Asset Names
The current UI truncates long names for Stocks and ETFs. To understand the specific objective or theme of an ETF, I am often forced to click into each individual security. This adds unnecessary friction to the browsing experience.
- Request: Modify the UI to allow for better visibility of full security names within the watchlists or search results, perhaps through a wrapped text or expanded list view option.
3. Integrated Fundamental and Technical Analysis
While ScanX is a powerful tool, the requirement to switch between different applications breaks the analytical workflow. Groww provides a seamless experience by hosting fundamental and technical data directly beneath the stock chart.
- Request: To improve the “all-in-one” experience, I suggest integrating deeper fundamental metrics and technical summaries directly within the main Dhan app, reducing the need for external redirects.
4. Real-Time Return Metrics on Charting Interface
Currently, viewing returns for different timeframes (1M, 1Y, 5Y, etc.) requires scrolling away from the price chart. This makes it difficult to correlate price action with historical performance simultaneously.
- Request: Implement a “Quick Return Box” above or adjacent to the main chart. This would allow users to view performance metrics across key timeframes while still analyzing the chart.
I believe addressing these points will significantly enhance the user experience for long-term investors and make Dhan the definitive choice for a unified investment journey. I look forward to seeing these improvements in future updates.
Best regards,
Vishal
