Hi!

Getting following error on TV charts.

Layout Error

Layout Size Exceed 5MB limit. Failed to save layout.

I checked similar threads but got little confused.

  • I am using 4 charts window. How to identify which chart is giving this error?

  • Also few users highlighted concerns similar to this, hence I am little concerned about creating a new layout.

  • For my clarification, 5MB is common for all symbols/charts or how it is?

Hi @khulsat, this error appears when the total saved layout data goes beyond the 5MB limit. The limit applies to the entire layout and includes all symbols, charts, drawings, and indicators together.

The 5MB limit is common for everything stored inside one layout. You can create a fresh layout from User Settings > Create Layout to continue using the charts.

Is there any ways to clear the data all at once?

Or do I have to visit each chart, find the drawings and clear one-by-one? If so, it’s going to be a hectic and tedious task.

Just curious whether any permanent fix or workaround is being evaluated. On native TradingView, I have hundreds of drawings and never received such error. That too on a free plan.

For me it happens rarely but it does happen. I do not have much drawings too. The basic drawings that I have is MA, Resistance Bands(max 6 per chart), Trend lines(max 6 per chart) and RSI. Apart from these, I add ADX and EFI when needed.
