Can you please explain why we need almost 14 times margin for Trailing Stop loss order
For lot value of 400 nifty 22600 pe, to put a TSL order with jump of 15, broker asking margin of 59000 doesn’t seem to be trader friendly.
Hi @Sanjay2704 When you had placed the order, at that time you had another pending order on which margin was blocked, hope this clarifies.
Margin requirements are now more or less standardised by exchanges.

TSLO doesn’t ask for additional margin for placement but it will check the order pending for the same position, and if there is any target or stoploss placed then it will be rejected with insufficient margin requirement.
In such cases, you may place either a stop-loss, target, or trailing stop-loss for your open position.
