Unrealisedprofit key in position api

Hi team,

I am trying to figure out exit strategy for any option or equity

Currently I HAVEN’T FOUND ANY DIRECT WAY OR API WHICH CAN SHARE ME PNL FOR TRADED SECURITY.
As work around, while exploring i found
unrealizedProfit key get position api response

Now, I have doubt which amount it holds…

  1. After trade current value of traded amount
    E.g. investment capital after buying bn 20*15 = 300 is investment capital
    So unrealizedProfit will be -120, -140 or 310,400
    I.e. current price of investment capital

  2. Current pnl
    E.g as mentioned above 300 investment
    unrealizedProfit -100 or 200.

Please advise and clear this confusion

Hello @AK-algo

Currently, the APIs do not return any value on unrealizedProfit field. With Live Market Feed, you will be able to calculate P&L at your end directly.

POLL LTPs from API calls/ Sockets. Calculate it at your end. They are not providing it through API since it taxing on performance
