Crop protection products are currently manufactured by their subsidiary, Nova Agri Sciences Private Limited. As of November 30, 2023, they have secured 720 product registrations, including 526 in crop protection, exclusively under Nova Agri Sciences Private Limited. They have also applied for 14 new product registrations with Nova Agri Sciences Private Limited and 22 with Nova Agritech Limited.
About the Industry:
The company primarily operates in the crop nutrition industry, encompassing fertilizers (chemical, organic, and bio-fertilizers) and bio-stimulants. Fertilizers, whether natural or synthetic, supply plant nutrients when applied to plant tissues or soil, with a focus on key macro nutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. They are classified into chemical, organic, and biofertilizers. In response to reduced effectiveness of chemical fertilizers, there is a growing interest in alternative, non-chemical choices such as biofertilizers and organic fertilizers. Biofertilizers, containing microbes like azospirillum and rhizobium, enhance plant nutrition and are regulated under the Fertilizer Control Order.
