While Dhan has focussed a bit more on Traders than Investors, lately we have seen many Investors joining our platform and with that we have started building more features and offerings that are geared towards Investors on Dhan.
To quickly summarise, Dhan has introduced multiple investor centric features like - Marking Stocks as Long Term (First in Industry), Multibagger Stocks (First in Industry), Portfolio Insights, Sell Fast with DDPI (First in Industry), Dividend Tracking (First in Industry), Automatic Invested Watchlist, Corporate Actions, now also in Watchlist, IPOs, and much more. Ofcourse, there are more in the works.
While all of us at Dhan are excited about these features, we are at the same time wanting to ensure that your experience continues to be simple & seamless. Many features on the portfolio brought down the overall experience with too much information that added to the clutter. For the same reason, our team decided to relook at the portfolio experience on the Dhan app.
Introducing Simplified Portfolio on Dhan App
With the recent app update, we are excited to bring you a simplified experience on Portfolio & holdings on the Dhan app to keep your journey with Dhan smoother, efficient and at the same time - informed!
Here are the updates to the Portfolio on Dhan App:
Single-Tap for Overall & Today Performance
Now switching between Overall & Daily performance of the portfolio is simpler - we have removed separate tabs that existed before and continued with the on-screen toggle that existed earlier. Unlike the earlier experience where you were taken to the top of the portfolio when you toggled between Overall & Today tabs - now we retain the same screen view which makes it simpler for you to check the Overall and Today’s performance of any stock on a single tap!
Track Corporate Actions for Stocks in your Portfolio Holdings
While we had introduced Corporate Actions much earlier in our journey, we realised many users wanted to learn and stay updated specifically about the Corporate Actions that are affecting the stocks they held in the portfolio. To make this happen, now you can view all Corporate Actions enabled in the portfolio itself. The option to enable this is provided in portfolio settings.
Comprehensive Insights
Lots of investors on Dhan liked the Investment Insights that we provide, of course we introduced these early in our journey and we possibly are first in the industry to show all insights in real-time. We continue to keep the most valuable insights that our users love - which includes distribution by Market Cap, by Sectors, Taxation details and contribution to holdings either by Value or Investment or by P&L.
Quick Views in Portfolio
We continue with Quick Views of some most important views of the portfolio that our users enjoyed the most - Long Term Holdings, Multibaggers, Stocks with SIPs, Stocks held via MTF and the recently introduced Corporate Actions.
Overall we have reduced the portfolio insights from 12 sections to just 6 and kept the most important and interesting insights for you. This update was aimed towards reducing clutter and helping you get the information you want - faster! The simpler view provides a much comprehensive view of your portfolio’s performance.
