Until recently, the Pre-Open Market Session was only available for the equity segment. But with exchanges now opening up this early market window for Index Futures (Current Month contracts), we have an update for you all. We are happy to share that you can now place AMO (After Market Orders) for Index Futures in the Pre-Open Market Session, available from 9:00 AM.
There is nothing new that you need to do. Just like before, when you try to place an order during non-market hours, you will see the AMO screen with your preferred execution slot. And now, alongside other execution timeslot, you will also see a new option: Pre Open Market Session at 9:00 AM. The execution slots for markets are as below :
- Pre-Open Market Session i.e.9.00 AM
- When Market Opens i.e. 9.15 AM
- 30 min after market opens i.e. 9.45 AM
- 60 min after market opens i.e. 10.15 AM
Select the execution period, and Dhan will automatically send your order to the exchange when the Pre-Open session begins or based on your selection. Fast, simple, and reliable. This ensures that Index futures traders on Dhan are not just ready when the market opens, but already positioned before it does.
A small update, but a powerful edge, specially for those who like to stay one step ahead.
