What is the best solution for getting static ip address for algo trading?

Hi Guys!
I want to know how you guys are planning for getting static ip address for doing algo trading as per latest sebi rule ?

  • I was looking into the possible isp provider jio charged around 40k yearly for static ip plan ..
  • Can not find airtel plan but it will also be same as jio only
  • so getting these static ip is costly and also not efficient like you are subscribing over wifi then you will have to always run your algos over that wifi only …or we cant switch between airtel or jio network unless we have bought static ip for both
  • If we are going with cloud server provider that is also costly 4k,5k per month

What is the possible solutions please tell ?

local broadband providers offer static Ip at low price check local broadband plans in your area, i did that only, opted for local broadband who sublease from airtel, it’s working.

just buy a vps, infact if you will be running a low memory algo, u can use amazon ec2 with static ip . this will probably be cheapest.

always use a vps, you never know when your power or network would be down

Oracle vps is free and server is in Mumbai.

Were you able to open a free tier account? Any tips to follow?

I am struggling since months. The onboarding process breaks abruptly. Checked the reviews, many people have repored the same problem. I believe you’re referring to OCI.

Everything goes well. At the end the error pops. Something like - Unable to complete your sign up.

Their onboarding website also responses poorly. I think I shall give it a try one more time. :pensive_face:

If so send a mail to their support team. They will respond.
