What monitor size is suitable for trading - Trading setup reveal ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿš€

can anyone share their trading setup please

Really eager to look at everyoneโ€™s setups

We had recently done a few makeshift trading setups in our office for a shoot featuring @Hardik & me, let us know your views .

Autotrading doesnโ€™t need any monitor (except set up time) which is what am doing most of the time.

If mobile, PnL glancing or discretionary order placement from mobile. If at office, single monitor setup for PnL glancing or discretionary order placement.

My trading setup.

  1. 34" LG Monitor
  2. 27" BenQ Monitor
  3. Dell Latitude 5401 (i5 9th Gen, 32 GB RAM, 500GB SSD) with Windows 10
  4. Monitors, Keyboard and Mouse are connected to Laptop via USB C docking station.

I am mainly a swing trader and most of my work is done after market hours. Hope this helps.

The larger screen the better off course but 21.5 inch screen does the work.

As you have been reading all along but have not yet been convinced, it is the resolution that matters, not the size.

A 15.6" laptop screen and a 24" external monitor connected to it will display the same quantity of data / information, if you are not increasing the output resolution.

To see more data or information on the screen, you need to increase the resolution and have a monitor that can handle it.

Your laptop or desktop and the monitor connected to it should be capable of handling higher display resolution. 4k resolution is the new acceptable standard.

Completely agree with you on the screen real estate part but as we get older, 4K resolution on 34" monitor is tough to handle.

Even though I have the 4K monitor, I reduce the resolution to 2560x1080 for a comfortable experience.

Along with proper ergonomic arrangement for physical comfort, lighting has to be planned well ahead of time for comfort of eyes.

Not the cleanest setup but works for me!

PC with 3x 24" monitors. One for charts, one for algo chain data analysis and recording, one for ordering and other works.

I keep a laptop handy for backup and an iPad to monitor live chain data.

Planning to add a 4th monitor to hook up with laptop in future if needed or, upgrade the PC with 2x 49" monitors.

Thanks,
Swati

Everyone has great setups, I would love Dhan to provide me a monitor so that I can analyze the chart on their awesome platform.

If not a laptop that loads fastly is also welcomed.

Thanks in advance
