The biggest headache for option buyers is option geeks and revange trades , and zero to hero trades

My biggest trading mistake this year came in April when the tariff noise from US triggered a sharp gap down in Indian markets. I was carrying heavy longs and everything hit stops at the open. The hedges softened the blow, but the real frustration came later. The market bounced straight from those lows and by the time my system turned positive again, the stops were too wide to justify reentry. I kept replaying the whole sequence in my head, yet I still cannot find a clean way I could have managed it better. It reminded me that sometimes the market gives you a lesson without offering a clear solution. May be the only lesson was: That there are always unknown risks and that I must always carry hedges for my overnights.

After SEBI stopped weekly expiry on Bank Nifty and FinNifty, I still continued with intraday strategies on these. The transaction charges were significantly higher due to higher premium on the monthly contracts. Also slippages were huge due to wider bid ask spreads. So got hit until I decided to stop :grimacing:

I was expecting Nifty to go South after last year’s top formation. I got married to that view and hence sold my holdings in a jiffy- and here we are, almost close to the ATH again. :man_facepalming:
Right after hitting the sell button, I realized that I have something wrong. I repent not for not being able to participate in the following rally but because it was against my rules

After all this struggles, research, consistency I have built a “A” Grade setup I’m 100% dam sure it’s not available on internet 86% accuracy. Unfortunately due to family and personal reasons I have no capital :skull:

Relying on fundamental analysis in today’s market turned out to be a major investing mistake for me, and it’s been the most important lesson I’ve learned this year.

This year I exited trades too early out of caution. From now on I will stick to my plan and let good setups run with patience over panic.

Karna fell on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Lord Krishna went to him and asked for his last wish. Karna requested that his final rites be performed in a place untouched by sin. Krishna searched the entire earth but could not find such a spot. In the end, he fulfilled Karna’s wish by performing his cremation on his own hand.

There are always imperfections clinging to every place in this world and beyond.
