An active topic on price alert issues which can be found here gets Unlisted. Have seen multiple posts previously here and here which mention the same. I understand that the community is not the place to post issues and but please consider the fact that users come to the community to post issues because it’s not answered satisfactorily via email. If an active discussion on an issue is unlisted without an appropriate reason then using the community isn’t fun at all.
@Dhan @PravinJ Any comments on the context mentioned in this topic? Can we tweak the Dhan moderator to check the topic on creation for Unlisting, instead of letting it run for some time and then deciding to Unlist it?
Hi @nitishbangera Topics that are specific to a user gets unlisted + topics that have personal information + ones that are just repeat ones with no cross learnings for all are unlisted.
See the topic here is for price alerts, we have thousands of alerts that are triggered everyday with notifications. Also the idea to keep topics that are learning for all. Open issues or something that are concerns for users, or feedback and suggestions keep on.
Like we have mentioned earlier, we have seen in past our community being misused by competitors to show Dhan in a particular way, hence moderation rules are stronger from past 12 odd months. Nothing new has changed recently.
@PravinJ If you look at the topic, its not an issue faced by 1. It was faced earlier by other users and then it has resurfaced again now. The customer support had actively mentioned that they are looking at it and suddenly the moderator unlists the topic which is really very weird. Just because you worry about competitors and set these unrealistic community rules, you will end up with genuine users stopping to comment.
Just to clarify, posts raised as individual support cases often get automatically unlisted by the system. The community is meant for discussions, learning, and knowledge sharing—not an official customer support channel—so such posts may not always remain visible.
That said, we truly value the commitment and feedback from our members. Whenever there’s a broader concern that affects multiple users, we keep the conversation open so everyone can stay informed. Once the issue is resolved, those threads may again get unlisted.
@RahulDeshpande I think you hit the right spot.
- Can you confirm whether your official customer support channel lets everyone know the issues being raised so everyone is informed? The answer is no.
- Is the official customer support channel absolutely exceptional and have an amazing understanding of the issue even when a screenshot is provided? Probably the answer to it is the number of issues raised in the community. The understanding is inversely proportional to the topics raised.
Well this might be the primary reason why people prefer the community over Dhan’s official customer support channel and the issues others face are completely hidden and the resolution via mail is a plain “Working on our end“.
If you valued the commitment and feedback from your members, you would never unlist the topic without a reason. If you provide a specific reason for unlisting an active topic, it would be good. This also shows that the users who take time to be on the community and spend efforts to post issues so that the platform becomes better aren’t appreciated.
It seems that alot of issues just spring up which is similar to the topic which was unlisted and hence thread unlisting just looks like hiding the issue so that it’s not visible to the users and users just lose track of it and ultimately forget it.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed and please note that I am not a competitor or a troll. I am a genuine user who uses Dhan as my primary platform for trading and investing.
All I can say, @nitishbangera bro, is keep trading with Dhan — things here do improve steadily over time.
These days, every brokerage unlists certain topics, but the intention is simply to protect the business, not to go against the customer. Dhan unlists much lesser than what competition does.
Dhan is honestly one of the best places to be right now. They eventually act on most feedback, and from my experience, after trying many brokers, none really replace Dhan or Angel One.
Most of my critical posts are still up at this community, which I do feel bad about but that eventually led to improvements.
Keep sharing your feedbacks and anything that gets unlisted, take it up with them personally at feedback@dhan.co
You will remember I ran a community opinion poll about Dhan web, and still it was listed and was allowed to run. I feel Dhan is more open and liberal as compared to other brokerages. Here
Even this feedback is eventually being acted upon.
I also gave critical feedback to another brokerage, but in return I was delisted and banned. Haha.
Dhan is simply a sweetheart. ![]()
