Why did VIX saw the steepest fall today?
In 2014 and 2019 it dropped by almost 30% on the result day. Maybe market has already predicted the election results. As a trader (mainly into LEAPS) it indicates that the OTM options are less attractive for selling (the ROI is significantly down) and thus avoid selling options. Instead, lowering of VIX is the regime for the option buyers.
