Why do OI gets updated late?

Hi @Hardik ,

I saw a pattern in the Option Chain API response where the OI gets updated late (roughly after 3 minutes). With that mean, the same OI value I get for continuous 3 minutes.
Any idea why such delay? or is there any other Dhan API where I can see OI gets updated fast?

OI update from exchange typically has a 3 minute lag. Open Interest data is updated by the exchange every 3 minutes for many strikes, and every minute for some strikes. Real-time OI data is not released by the exchange and so no vendor or broker has real-time OI data.
