Option Trader Software?
Why is there a need for separate option trader software or application?
What is the extra advantage Dhan is providing by creating separate option trader software application for Desktop.
Why is it not possible to include all the trading modules and informational objects required for options trading to be included and operated from inside the Desktop version of Dhan Web trader itself?
We already have the option chain available in the details page of every stock and Index as well as on the tv.dhan.co.
Was it not possible to simply add the ‘Options Trader’ as an additional Tab at the end of the top menu just adjacent to the ‘Money’ tab? Then adding the additional Sub-Tabs like Strategy builder, Prebuilt strategies and Analyse tabs inside the main ‘Options trader tab’ could have worked.
Rest everything including all the tabs like Markets, Watchlists, Portfolio, Positions and Orders tabs in Options trader platform are almost similar to the Web Trader platform.
It would have been more convenient for the traders to work in a single platform for all their trading needs just working in the relevant tabs for trading in different assets instead of juggling between the different softwares which need to be opened in different tabs of the Internet browser.
The space constraint could have been solved by using collapsible panes for Watchlists and Strategy builder in a vertical or horizontal fashion. Alternatively, simply taking the strategy builder just below the window of pay off graphs could also have been possible. Making slight space adjustments for other informational objects like Target and IV adjustment, Pay-off simulation and strategy Greeks and adding them just below the strategy builder could also have worked. The traders would have only required to scroll the page a little bit which could have been still better than shifting entirely to different software. If designed judiciously then everything can be managed on a single software of web trader by just creating different panels or tabs with adjustable borders if required.
In option trader platform also why is the choice given to open the option chain in a separate tab. Why can’t it be opened in the same right-side space where pay off graph is displayed with just another additional tab. As it is we have it in the detail summary page of every stock. It becomes unnecessary juggling between the tabs of the web browser to just plan one trade.
Most of the platforms from other brokers have similar kind of design for their options trading platform inside the main software itself using just additional panes or tabs with sometimes adjustable borders.
