The deliverable volume for HDFC Bank today is 62.75%, (equivalent to 5,33,80,592 shares). Now, out of the total outstanding shares of 7,59,24,84,734, approximately 52% of these shares are held by FIIs, which equals to about 3,94,80,92,061 shares. Assuming all the shares sold today were by the FIIs, it would represent only 1.35% of their overall ownership. Impact of 1.35% created a havoc in the market. What do you thik? Panic selling?
