I also need this feature. If Dhan allows the P&L Stop-Loss to accept positive values, it will work much like an algo-based profit protection system.
Many traders manually lock in profits during the day. With a positive P&L Stop-Loss, we can protect already-earned gains while still giving trades room to move toward the target.
This feature is simple but extremely useful and would eliminate the need for a separate trailing stop-loss in many cases.
Folks here, but does the existing P&L based exit even work ?? after setting a negative value for lossValue? has it actually exited all your open positions when that P&L reached? It hasnt worked for me eevn once!!! which is ridiculous, I have set the max profit n loss so many times and the API returns a proper successfully set response but it neever kicked in when p&l went 10 times more negative too. plz plz share your thoughts,
I completely agree and fully support behind this feature request.
Allowing a positive value in the “P&L Stop-Loss field” is a fantastic, simple way to lock in open profits. It would give traders immense peace of mind to know they can protect a hard-earned green day from turning red.
@PravinJ@Dhan Could you please share an update or estimated timeline on whether this is on your product roadmap? It would be life saver for day traders.
Following our detailed discussion over the call, we understand your requirement to support a positive value in the Stop Loss for Auto Exit on P&L. We’ve noted your suggestion for future enhancement.
