We have seen this multiple times through the year 2023, so guessing this is the last circular from exchanges that had to come in the last week of this year, ie 2023.
As per latest NSE Circular (NSE/FAOP/60011) monthly expiry day of BANK NIFTY is changing effective of March 2024 from Thursday to Wednesday. With this, all weekly & monthly contracts for BANK NIFTY will expire now on Wednesday.
With this, the expiry schedule for Traders looks like the following: 6 Expiry days in a week:
Monday - BANKEX, NIFTY MIDCAP SELECT
Tuesdays - FINNIFTY
Wednesdays - BANKNIFTY
Thursdays - NIFTY
Fridays - SENSEX
