Exit with gtt option

hi Dhan

please give an option to set target and stop loss of my active trade like GTT feature so that I can target 5% or 10% or 20% for 1 year and same in stop loss.
i have been using upstox and i like exit with gtt feature there
after getting super order , i was thinking same with dhan but disappointed .

Hi @bpmittal

On the Dhan platform, you can place both Super Orders and Forever Orders. For your portfolio holdings, Forever Orders (GTT) can be used to set long-term target and stop-loss levels.

Forever order for MTF & Equity: Now Live: Forever Orders with OCO (for MTF & Equity)
Now Live: Sell-Side Forever Order for Equity on Dhan

Forever for F&O scrips: Introducing Forever Orders (with OCO) on Sell Side

Similarly, Super Orders allow you to set target and stop-loss at the time of placing a fresh order. Read more on super order here .

thanks for replying

i have tried forever order and super order both but what i need is
after we had entered a trade and it is showing in my portfolio in positions or holding , then from there it should show exit options like exit with super order or exit with foreever order etc
that will be very easy for us .

Yes, you can place target and stop-loss orders directly from your portfolio using the forever order option.

  • On the Dhan app: Go to your portfolio, tap on the stock, and you’ll find the forever order option there.
  • On the web: Log in, head to your portfolio, click on the three dots next to the stock, and select forever order.

We’ve your suggestion to add a super order feature for selling shares via the portfolio. Thanks for sharing!

Also, your feedback on setting target and stop-loss based on percentage for forever orders is noted. We’ll definitely look into both.
