Introducing: DEXT T3 - The Trading Terminal | The Modern Day Terminal for Traders

Kindly consider:

I. Orders are the heart for any trader as well as brokerage. So if Order Window is made into a Widget, then:

1. we can color code it to the other widgets - will help the order widget get updated automatically
2. now we have to interact separately with the order window for each script

II. Version 1.01 got updated just now. I am guessing many more updates with greater frequency will be taking place in this initial phase. Please:

1. Have a What’s New Section under Help. It will help us keep track of whether a specific need of mine has been released

III. Watchlist: Could you enable us to drag and sort individual scrips? Will be quite helpful

How to create a layout for Options Trading as in tv.dhan.co? I tried to create it but simply not possible. Please add at least these three features in the layout or create a default Options Scalper Layout. It will be really helpful even for beginners. Now, the struggle is to create a working layout. Please refer TV Dhan layout

Great product folks, the overall look, feel and performance is amazing for a just launched product. A couple of minor blips are:

1. When you change the chart canvas color, it reverts back to the theme default each time it’s refreshed, the user needs to Load Layout every single time.
2. While switching to another layout and back, the layout refreshes and goes back to the default NIFTY charts (and default color), it also takes a good 5 seconds to reload
3. The only way to parallely have and switch between multiple symbols is opening multiple instances of the Desktop application. (even then you can’t know before switching; which instrument you’re switching to) In Dhan TV users could open multiple tabs on the same window and the symbol name was visible on the tab. Terribly missing that agility on Dext.

This is an exceptional creation by Team Dhan. This adds another colorful and significant feather in the Dhan’s Cap.

I was always wanting such an application on Windows as some of the Brokers have it. But then on the auspicious occasion of Gudhipadwa, the New Year, you gave us this gift in form DEXT T3 terminal.

I immediately downloaded it on my windows laptop. The installation was seamlessly done.

The features in this application are fabulous. The customization can be made as per requirement in the screen and in one window itself the required windows/widgets can be inserted and sized as per preference. The speed is also at par with the other brokers terminal. I am yet to use the terminal for trading, which I will in coming week.

Thanks for such a marvelous gift to the Dhan traders and investors fraternity.

Keep developing and giving such value additions and keep growing irrespective of the market cycles.

Great work Dhan Team, The only part I felt need some work is the chart layout customization. In my case the layout is not getting saved even if a new layout profile is created. Whenever I refresh the page it rolls back to the default color and background schema. Other than that so far so good.

Great work @Dhan. Please add advanced math formula in Watchlist > Custom Formulas . For Example : I can calculate & filter stocks in watchlist with (Any Timeframe) 15 minute candle & turnover above 5 crore to identify intraday momentum by using simple math formula : 15 minute close(0)*volume(0) higher than 5 crore

The Text Font Size choice is not available in the WEB version of DEXT , here I am raising a request for that along with my other points.

Dear Team,

As a long-term user since Dhan’s inception, I am sharing a detailed breakdown of improvements for the DEXT T3 Desktop Terminal. While the terminal is a great step forward, the following enhancements would bring it at par with professional-grade trading setups..

Watchlist Widget Enhancements-

Problem - In watchlist to add stock every time need to click on plus button

Suggestion- Please make a shortcut to add stock in watchlist (In sharekhan TradeTiger if press “Insert“ key popup open to add stock in watchlist, so in DEXT also there should be a shortcut key to add stock fast.

Problem - When we add any stock in any watchlist it auto arranged it in Alphabetically so user got confused which stock is added.

Suggestion- when ever user add any stock in watchlist it should appear at bottom of watchlist same as trading view and let user sort it as per his requirement but initially it should appear in bottom of watchlist.

Additional suggestion in watchlist- Please provide Color flagging to grouping the stocks in desired manner like bullish/ Bearish stock

Problem- If user hover on any stock in watchlist no action button appears.

Suggestion- Please provide and option when user hover curser on any stock in watchlist possible options should be appear like buy, sell, Open chart, delete, color flag

Additionally a feature request to Provide a short comment column to write something about the stock, and stock limit in one watchlist should be 500 stocks.

Widget section- Chart

Problem- Many features are not available as compared to tv.dhan.co

Suggestion- We need all features as given in tv.dhan.co like Price alerts, option chain, bar replay and other as mentioned in screenshot

Problem- There is missing option to “add to watchlist” in right click on chart

Suggestion- Please provide feature to add to watchlist from chart also as per screenshot below

Most Important missing here- Price alert is missing here please please provide price alerts same as tv.dhan with drag and drop feature to modify.

Problem- Only 3 charts can be open.

Suggestion- Please allow user to open at lease 6 chart widgets same time.

Problem- You have given multiple widgets so user can add as per his requirement, its very new kind of thing and very interesting and appreciable, presently if user open 5-6 widgets same time space for charts is not sufficient.

Suggestion and request- In addition of multiple widgets my suggestion and request to give an option to drag chart to another screen/monitor so that user can open multiple charts at same time with better visibility of charts and enable sync it by scrip wise and interval so that if User change stock name in one chart all charts in all monitors should be changed similarly sync with interval.

Problem- There is not any option to refresh the charts in case of internet disturbance.

Suggestion- Kindly provide an refresh option at chart level or complete terminal level.

Problem- No forever order available in any where in terminal

Suggestion- Please provide forever order feature in terminal.

Additionally I request there is not restriction of 5mb data limit in marking in DEXT desktop terminal.

Problem- Marking/Drawings are not visible on mobile app and tv.dhan.co platform

Suggestion- Kindly sync all user data to all platforms.

Widget- Option chain

Problem- There is no any option to add multiple option legs from watchlist in basket.

Suggestion- Please provide and option in option chain that if user hover on option chain strike LTP “B“ and “S“ should be appear to select desired leg in basket and fast order placing.

Very important feature request-

Widget name- Price ladder

You have given price ladder in tradable scrips that’s very amazing additionally I would suggest to provide price ladder in tradable indices instruments also, suppose someone analyze levels on Index chart and want that if Nifty come at a particular price point a order should place in desired manner, with stop-loss and target as per nifty level.

Please note this feature is available in OptionX platform You can go through that portal thats amazing. screen shot is attached for your reference.

This price ladder is of Nifty where we can place order in desired option strike based on Nifty levels.

I hope these suggestions are taken into consideration for the next update cycle to make DEXT the most powerful terminal in the Indian market.

This is awesome. I have been waiting for US style kind of terminal for years. It is finally live. I’m so much happy.
I will be even more happier if future updates include:

1. Offset orders Ask+3, Bid-5 etc.
2. Closing partial positions. Quarter, Half or 30% etc
3. Instant order placement when clicked on Ask or Bid, instead of order entry
4. Hotkeys should be more robust like working even when different widget windows are in focus. Ex. ‘Enter’ should send order even when order window is not in focus.

Atleast Need chat pop to move next screen for dual monitor user, like other terminal given. single screen with all chart and watchlist is uncomfortable to see , provide move pop-up window free move of main window of dext ..

I have a few requests,

1. Option to pause the moving ticker

2. Option for adjusting font size

3. Option for having multiple watchlists in the same window or adding more columns, adding screenshots for just for example.

First of all, congratulations and thank you for the new launch! I have a few suggestions for the Dext3 terminal:

• Blank rows in watchlist: Could we get an option to add a blank row? This would help keep different groups separated within the same list.

• Add from Option Chain: There is currently no direct way to add a scrip or option to the watchlist from the Option Chain. Adding multiple CE/PE contracts is quite tedious right now.

• Mac ticker speed: The ticker speed on Mac still feels too fast, even on the lowest setting.

• Buy/Sell shortcut window: It would be great to display the scrip or option in a text box here, with a +/- toggle to quickly adjust the strike price.

• Manual watchlist ordering: Please add the ability to manually sort or rearrange items within a watchlist.

Pls Pardon my ignorance,
But how do I change strike chart? by manually typing and finding it then clicking it?

Say I have three panels side by side with put < Nifty > call charts side by side and on top option chain panel.

now at any time all the charts are selected by default, so clicking from option chain changes all togather.

or pls guide what i am missing here.

I loved the OG version where right click open option chain and select the strike to open the chart.
