Introducing: Invest in US Stocks & ETFs on Dhan 🇺🇸

@AYUSH SBI & BOB both are not supported for US stocks on Dhan. You need to add any one of the supported banks to Dhan account first from Money section then you can select supported banks for US stocks.

As of now there is no option to change bank account once selected. Dhan team might add this option later.

@banerjee Welcome back. Its nice to read your message again.

Well I had the same suggestions as yours. The release looks half baked and only caters to one thing i.e. Link bank account and purchase shares. Dhan hasn’t thought about the things surrounding the feature at all. Charts and Alerts were the most important thing which has been kept out. To top it off, there has been no response from Dhan for quite sometime as well.

I am also using INDmoney for US investing but they only show this ETF on web only, in the app it will not show this ETF, cause you can not invest in Bitcoin related ETF as of now

Hi @banerjee

Angel one recently got it’s IFSCA licence. They are listed now on IFSCA directory. Only groww and indmoney I can see as Global Access provider. Zerodha, Dhan and Angel might be in process as you mentioned.

Agreed @banerjee

I too felt like Dhan’s US stocks investing is still half baked launch. I read somewhere that Dhan’s plan was to launch US stocks by end of 2026 but i don’t know why they preponed it. It could’ve been a complete product if they waited for their actual launch promise.

Even I too have indmoney account, though I didn’t invest in US stocks yet, I am curious to learn and try new things about money.

I am sure of one thing that Dhan will make this offering better over time. This is kind of similar pattern with almost all their new features.

You are right. I missed that. Both Groww and Angel are GAP now.

Hi @banerjee

Firstly, welcome back to the Community!

You should be able to select Upload from Library directly and proceed further. If you encounter any issues while doing so, please let me know, and I’ll get it checked.

As for Price Alerts, they are already in the works and will be available soon.

Thank you for sharing the other suggestions as well. We will definitely evaluate them and consider them as part of our future enhancements.

Hi @MaruthiSikhakolli

Sure, we will work on this and aim to introduce it in the coming months.

Hi @sudheer

Good to see you back.

Yes, US Stocks is live on Dhan API, you can please check it

Hi @rautniraj

That’s a fair ask. We have already raised this with the bank and requested that the exchange rate applicable to the withdrawal be shared upfront, along with the estimated processing timelines.

For cancellation, we will evaluate & get back on that

Hi @KumarS

Dividends in US after deducting withholding tax are directly credited to your US Wallet with Dhan.

US companies deduct a 25% withholding tax on dividends before the amount is credited to your US wallet. In India, the net dividend (after US tax) is taxable again at your income tax slab rate. However, under the India-US Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), you can claim a Foreign Tax Credit for the 25% already paid in the US, so you don’t pay tax twice on the same income.

:light_bulb: To claim DTAA relief, you must file Form 67 on the Income Tax portal before submitting your ITR. Missing this deadline means losing the tax credit.

Hi @Pradumya

Apologies for the delayed response. I’ve responded to your message and shared the details.

Hi @nitishbangera

US Stocks is now available for all users, and you should be able to access it in your account.

  1. The minimum investment cap of $10 is expected to go live by Wednesday.

  2. Price Alerts are currently under development and will be available soon.

  3. TradingView charts are something we’re evaluating, and we’ll share updates once we have more clarity.

For the initial launch, our focus was on getting the core investing experience right. That’s also why we introduced features like SIPs and Super Orders from Day 1. We will continue to enhance the platform and roll out additional features and capabilities over time based on user feedback and demand.

Hi @Soundarya_Naskar

Sure, we’ll evaluate this to help make tax filing simpler and more convenient for investors

Hi @jaison

As mentioned, leveraged ETFs are supported on Dhan.

@MahimaShah I really think Dhan needs to think product and not features. The investing product needs Charting and Alerts based on which the buy and sell is taken. Its not SIPS or Super Orders. SIPs come later and for Super Orders, how do you expect anyone to take profit or loss without charting.
