Now Live: Fast Sell with DDPI (Demat Debit Pledge Instruction)

Hi @amish, we will evaluate the possibility of implementing this, as currently the DDPI Facility cannot be paused. Could you also share a practical use case for this feature?

I have already explained practical use case above.

I like DDPI but I am not a trader. i.e. I do not buy / sell frequently.

Some Dhan features require DDPI. I want to use those features so would like to activate DDPI.

But then I am also buy and forget investor. Many times I do not sell anything for months. So I do not want DDPI to remain active in that period.

Hey @amish, off-topic from your question, but I am curious to know the reason you activated DDPI. I am still using TPin and heavily depend on alerts to tell if the stock price is coming near a point where I should sell. I am just sceptical about permitting a broker to sell on my behalf.

I have not activated DDPI but some Dhan features like Super orders require DDPI. So I am planning to activate it but with ability to PAUSE it whenever I want.

Hey @amish

We can evaluate to temporarily pause all sell transactions in an account but specifically pausing DDPI is not possible.

DDPI once enabled can only be revoked which requires manual process. Given that the records have to be updated at CDSL, enabling/disabling it is not quite straightforward.

Also, once DDPI is revoked, it will require you to do the entire DDPI activation process again.
