Now Live: New Breakout & Intraday Indicators on Dhan Charts

Hello Traders,

Charts are where many of you identify opportunities, track price action, validate setups and plan your trades. And at Dhan, we continue to make this charting experience more powerful, flexible and useful for the way you trade.

Every trader has a different setup, a different indicator combination. Some traders prefer clean price action, some rely on trend-following tools, while many build complete setups with multiple indicators. Our goal is to keep giving you more ways to analyse markets, directly on Dhan Charts.

Recently, we started adding a new set of indicators on Dhan Charts, beginning with indicators focused on trend signals. (check here: Now Live: New Trend Signal Indicators on Dhan Charts )

We are now adding the next category of indicators - focused on breakout and intraday trading setups.

Introducing new Breakout & Intraday Indicators on Dhan Charts

With this update, we are adding:

Opening Range Breakout (ORB)
One of the most widely used intraday setups, ORB helps traders track the high and low formed during the opening range of the trading session. Once the range is formed, traders can use it to identify potential breakout or breakdown opportunities through the day.

Darvas Box
Darvas Box helps identify consolidation zones on charts and marks price boxes where the stock or instrument is moving within a defined range. Traders often use this to spot breakouts from consolidation and plan trades with clearer levels.

Super Scalper
Built for fast-moving intraday traders, Super Scalper brings multiple internal signals into a simpler buy/sell marker format. It is especially useful for traders who use shorter timeframes like 5-minute and 15-minute charts and want quicker signal-based analysis.

Fractal Chaos Bands
Fractal Chaos Bands help traders visualise price movement around fractal-based upper and lower bands. These bands can be used to understand market structure, track volatility and identify possible breakout zones when price moves beyond key levels.

This category of indicators is especially useful for intraday traders, scalpers and breakout traders who track price ranges, consolidations and quick market movements. Whether you are watching the opening range, waiting for a consolidation breakout or trading on shorter timeframes, these indicators give you more flexibility to build your setup directly on Dhan Charts.

And we are not stopping here.

We will continue adding more indicators category-wise across risk and trade management, moving averages, oscillators, quantitative indicators and more. As always, many of these additions come from what you have asked us to build.

To try these indicators, open Dhan Charts, go to Indicators and search for Opening Range Breakout, Darvas Box, Super Scalper or Fractal Chaos Bands.

We keep building Dhan Charts with your feedback, and we would love to know which indicators you want us to bring next.

Happy Trading!

Every one of these indicators has a story behind it on MadeForTrade, some going back almost four years.

Opening Range Breakout has been the most-asked-for indicator on the forum that wasn’t yet on Dhan Charts. Eleven different community members have asked for it over the past four years, sometimes opening dedicated threads, sometimes pasting the full PineScript hoping that would speed things up. @RupeeGym flagged the need for it back in June 2022 in a long-form Dhan Charts feedback post. @Viswa_Kumar opened a dedicated thread in January 2025 asking for it with a 5-minute timeframe. @Prema listed it as the first request on their feature wishlist in August 2025. @Shivam_Kumar_Pathak opened another dedicated thread in January this year. And @Souradeep wrote something in Build with Dhan Cycle 3 that genuinely landed with us: “I have been using Angel One solely because of only one indicator which I rely on. That is customized opening range breakout.” That kind of feedback is the most useful version we receive. ORB is now live with the customisable timeframe.

Darvas Box has its own arc. @Shivasekaran asked for it in Cycle 1 back in October 2023. @dhingrab followed up in February 2024 noting it was a well-known indicator and not proprietary. @Himangshu opened a dedicated thread in July 2024 specifically because he couldn’t find Darvas Box on his Dhan chart, then came back across multiple threads through the year. @Boom_Babish opened another dedicated thread in May 2025. The build took longer than it should have, and that’s worth being honest about. It’s live today.

Super Scalper was a Cycle 1 ask from @Amitsharma, with @Sandhyarani following with a request for Option Scalper V2 specifically. Both flavours are now reflected in the live version.

Fractal Chaos Bands came from @Shivakumar, who asked for it in Cycle 2 of Build with Dhan in September 2024, and then opened a dedicated thread the same day when he wanted to make sure the team saw it. That kind of persistence is genuinely useful for us to notice. Now live.

If you were one of the traders asking for any of these and your name isn’t above, drop a comment and we’ll find your original post. We’ve been going through community history thread by thread and the dump isn’t exhaustive yet.
