I am a happy user of your platform with an active Demat account. I wanted to take a step further by opening a minor account for my child, as I strongly believe in starting early when it comes to financial literacy and investments.
However, I recently discovered that your platform currently doesn’t allow guardians who already hold a Demat account with a sub-broker to open a minor account. This limitation is quite disappointing for dedicated users like me who wish to plan and invest for their child’s future seamlessly through Dhan.
I kindly request you to consider introducing a facility that allows existing guardians to open a minor account, irrespective of their association with sub-brokers. This change would greatly benefit parents who wish to secure their child’s financial future under one unified platform.

I wonder what is the roadblock Dhan is facing in enabling minor demat accounts? Is it because of one mobile number policy? If so, it’s high time Dhan should consider switching to username based logins etc.
I have requested multiple times over the past six months for a solution to this issue. I currently have seven demat accounts with Dhan, and I would prefer not to move to another platform. However, no progress has been made. Dhan continues to claim that they are working on it, but I haven’t seen any tangible results.
