Request to Reintroduce Bracket Orders

Dear Dhan Team,

I appreciate the innovation behind Super Orders, but I’d like to request the reactivation of Bracket Orders. As an active trader, I found Bracket Orders extremely efficient for:

  • Fast order placement with point-based risk/reward
  • Trailing stop-loss on individual legs
  • Partial profit booking, which is crucial for dynamic strategies

Super Orders are promising, but they currently lack the precision and flexibility that Bracket Orders offered. Many traders like me relied on those features for intraday and swing trading. Please consider reintroducing Bracket Orders or integrating their key functionalities into Super Orders.

Thank you for your support and commitment to trader-first innovation.

Sincerely,
Naresh

Hey @Naresh_Chavda, Welcome To MadeForTrade community.

We understand your request for bringing back Bracket Orders (BO) and Cover Orders (CO). These have now been replaced with Super Order, which are designed to meet most of the same requirements. We have noted your suggestion and passed it to our team. Read more here

Hi @Naresh_Chavda Bracket orders while they had some advantages like partial profit booking - it also had limitations that we understand from a platform perspective.

Super Orders are getting better with feedback that we have from users. Noted your suggestions and we will explore bring these to Super Orders. Any more specific feedback, please share with us on feedback@dhan.co or here.

@PravinJ For Super Order my only concern is does it manage large orders ? For SL we traditionally Place two price TRIGGER & LIMIT Price but in Super Order we only place one Price I think it could be Trigger Price Kindly explain this if possible

Hello Team

While testing on the DhanHQ sandbox environment, I noticed that the Super Order API (as documented here: https://dhanhq.co/docs/v2/super-order/) is currently not available.

Since this API is a critical part of building, testing, and validating order management flows (especially for strategies that involve basket orders, cover orders, and bracket orders), having it enabled in sandbox would greatly help developers test execution logic before going live.

Could you please enable Super Order API in the sandbox environment or share if there’s any alternative method to test these flows without directly going live?
