Watchlist and Scrip limit

Hi, Can you please confirm what is the total number of Watchlists that can be created and what is the max number of scrips that can be added in each Watchlist.
Also, any plans to modify/increase the limit in near future?

Thanks,
Akash

Hi Sameet, Thanks @Sameet

Instead of adding one by one script to watchlist kindly develop a feature to import scripts from other sources in Excel format to dhan watchlist may help the traders most

Hi @BRAJAGOPAL

Welcome to the Dhan community

We have mentioned the details below for the export watchlist feature :

@Dhan
In Trading view I was able to add any number of watchlist.
However, I can only add 10 watchlist in tv.dhan.co.

  1. I want to maintain separate watchlist for each broad market index , sectorial index and thematic index. This way I can focus on trending sector.

  2. I am interested to create watchlist for Nifty Total Market or Nifty 500 scrips. However, due to limit of 100 scrips I can not add more than 100 stocks and it becomes challenging for me to analyze Nifty 500 stocks in single go.

  3. There is no feature to add section like trading view.

  4. I can not import or export watchlist using csv which is possible in Trading view.

Do you have any plan of implementing these features in future?
These are really cool features and must required for any trader.
Thanks!

Thank you for sharing workaround. However, my expectation is to easily and quickly access charts one by one on click of one button. Which is possible in tv.dhan.co.

My goal or approach is to first identify outperforming sectors and then find out performing stocks from those outperforming stocks.

Thanks!

Hi @Siddhesh_Amrute you listed four things in this thread: separate watchlists per broad market and sectoral index, the 100 scrip limit making Nifty 500 impossible to analyse in one go, no way to add sections, and no CSV import or export.

Three have moved. The limit went to 250 stocks across 20 lists, CSV import works on Charts, and Sections in Watchlist went live this week. Named sections inside a single watchlist, drag stocks between them, reorder freely, up to 20 sections per list.

Between 250 stocks and 20 sections in one list, the sectoral and thematic split you described should now fit inside a single watchlist rather than fighting for tabs.

App, DEXT, ScanX and Options Trader are following.

Does that get you close enough to a Nifty 500 view, or is the ceiling still the problem?
