World has moved on to mobile and web based apps. Almost anything that is on Fyers Next can be built on web as well if it is already not there. The only advantage that a PC based software will give you is faster rendering and better customization due to better utilization and control of local pc resources. However the difference is not significant these days.
Not at all. FnO can be done at low frequency also.
Btw high speed punching can be done using keyboard shortcuts in web also
I Think this is really interesting one softwere may dhan can do partenership with them and bring it to coustomer.
Desktop Terminal. Because it is considered safe. Web platform say in chrome keeps getting bugged and one has to be on safeguard perennially.
Back in 2020, I was using Nest Trader with Zerodha, and honestly, it was one of the best trading experiences I’ve had. The execution speed was top-notch, and there was no lag — something every trader values the most during fast market movements.
However, the major downside was the outdated and cluttered graphics. The user interface felt claustrophobic and far from intuitive, which made it difficult to focus on the trades themselves.
Fast forward to today — Dhan has a real opportunity here to build a cutting-edge trading platform using modern technology. A fast, lag-free experience combined with a clean, intuitive interface could truly change the game for traders. If they get it right, it could be a game-changer in the Indian trading ecosystem!
I believe the Benefits of Desktop Terminal:
- Ability to place DoM, Charts, Order Window etc. on different screens or in a specific order on a single screen
- Close or add widgets which as per user pref.
- Slight edge in execution times over web based solutions
Desktop terminal, if it’s as powerful as interactive broker’s trader’s workstation if not then vanilla NEST will do just for ticker watchlist.
I prefer web platforms because if I want to open dhan trading view chart then chart will be open on web browser, so every time minimizing or switching from web browser to terminal is annoying.
if Dhan provide feature to open tradingview chart inside the terminal itself then terminal would be best choice for most of the user.
Options Scalper ONLY

Hello @SandeshNagori Can’t we set alert on chart in DEX t3 Terminal? I am not getting the option to add alert.
I prefer web.
You can access web version from anywhere, from any machine /platform (mac, windows, Linux, chrome / any) which has a browser.
And it will perform with same preferences which are saved on cloud, just login and you are good to go.
But having choices is good.
So I also support the dedicated installable desktop modes.
@rahulmanna Alerts are in testing and will be live from next week ![]()
