Hi Traders!
At Dhan, we’ve built the watchlist experience to serve as a vital part of your trading toolkit, giving you the ability to curate your own market view and execute directly from it. However, we understand how tedious that curation can be, especially for those trading in derivatives.
To simplify tracking and enable quick access for derivatives traders, we first introduced FnO as a default watchlist featuring key indices and commodity contracts. Now we’re taking it a step further with FnO Stocks.
FnO Stocks is a new, default watchlist that includes all stocks currently permitted for Futures & Options trading, maintained and updated by us. We recognise that time and accuracy are critical for traders, which is why this watchlist eliminates the laborious and error-prone task of keeping up with the constantly evolving list of stocks tradable in derivatives.
Whether you’re planning strategies or trading near expiry, you’ll always have the right set of stocks in view. As with all our watchlists, FnO Stocks will also enable you to:
- Place orders directly from the watchlist.
- See Corporate Actions and upcoming Dividend Yields directly on your watchlist.
With this update, your default watchlists on Dhan now include:
- FnO-A comprehensive list of tradable Indices, including Commodities
- FnO Stocks- A complete list of FnO-tradable stocks.
- Invested- A live view of your current holdings
FnO Stocks is built for seamless execution and convenience, making it easier to stay aligned with the market and act when it matters most.
To check this new feature out, go to Dhan > Watchlist tab > FnO Stocks. We’d love to hear your thoughts. Have feedback or suggestions? Do let us know.
Happy Trading!
Regards,
Soha

Along with the other default watchlists, FnO stocks list should have been there on tv.dhan.

Why the commodities watchlist has been left our?
FnO stocks list should have been there on tv.dhan.
If it is not there along with the other watchlists, what is the use of this FNO Stocks Watchlist???

Hi @abhibele We are exploring on how to implement this. That said you can see FnO stocks under the Indices details list on TV. The FnO Stocks is the first list in that group of indices.
IMHO, the only way to solve for this is to give 200-250 stocks per watchlist. And, I think the Dhan web F&O streams pretty well with ~220 stocks in 1 watchlist.
Only the server costs will increase a bit. You can make up for it, by putting a subscription.

Some may differ my thoughts, but subscriptions for such basic things is really not welcoming.
Instead, I feel Dhan should run a periodic polls and gauge what users really need. Which existing features are highly used and which features are not. The least used features can be discontinued or reconsidered if operating cost is a concern.
Same goes for developing new features. Best way to run a poll and take user’s opinion. I am not sure if this practice is being followed as of date as I haven’t come across any feedback/opinion/poll mechanism as such yet.
This community helps gathering feedback but it is scattered and unorganised way.
I don’t have much hopes from @Dhan team (from my past experiences) but say I am an over optimist.
