Over the past few months, we’ve introduced several enhancements to Stock SIPs, including Conditional trigger SIPs, SIP Execution Time Selection, MTF support for SIPs, and also enabled Autopay setup for stock SIPs. These updates were driven by a simple goal: making Stock SIPs more flexible, convenient, and better suited to the way you invest.
At Dhan, SIPs continue to be one of the most popular ways to build long-term wealth. As more users adopted Stock SIPs, one piece of feedback we heard repeatedly was the need for greater flexibility without disrupting their long-term investment journey. There are times when investors may want to temporarily step away from their SIPs for various reasons, such as:

Managing short-term financial commitments.

Reviewing or rebalancing their portfolio.

Taking a temporary break from investing.

Adjusting their finances without abandoning their long-term goals.
Until now, the only way to stop a Stock SIP on Dhan was to delete it completely. While this worked for investors who wanted to discontinue an SIP permanently, it wasn’t ideal for those who only wanted to pause their investments for a short period. Restarting later meant creating a new SIP from scratch and setting everything up again.
To solve this, we’re excited to introduce Pause SIPs for Stocks on Dhan.
With Pause SIPs, you can now:

Temporarily pause your Stock SIPs without deleting them.

Resume your SIP whenever you’re ready.

Keep your existing SIP configuration intact.

Allow your SIP to automatically resume once the selected pause duration ends.

Stay invested in your long-term goals while taking a short break when needed.
How does it work?
Using this feature is simple. Open your Stock SIP, select Pause SIP, choose your preferred pause duration, and confirm your request. You can pause:

Daily SIPs for up to 15 days.

Weekly SIPs for up to 6 weeks.

Monthly SIPs for up to 3 months.
You can also resume your SIP at any time before the selected pause duration ends. If no action is taken, your SIP will automatically resume once the pause period is complete.
