Feature Request: Option to Add Custom Tags to Stocks in Watchlists

Hello Team,

I’ve been actively using Dhan for trading. One challenge I regularly face is managing and searching stocks across multiple watchlists.

Currently, when we search for a stock, Dhan shows that it is already added to a watchlist, but it does not indicate which watchlist it belongs to. This makes it quite inconvenient, especially when we maintain multiple watchlists — it becomes a manual and time-consuming process to locate the stock.

Proposed Solution:
It would be extremely helpful if Dhan introduces the ability to add custom tags to stocks. For example:

  • #semicon
  • #higherhigh
  • #breakouts

With tags, we can:

  • Quickly group and categorize stocks across different watchlists.
  • Easily search and filter by tag to see all stocks under that category.
  • Save time and reduce the manual effort of locating stocks.

This small improvement would make the platform much more convenient and user-friendly for active traders like me.

Looking forward to seeing this feature in future updates.

Thanks,
N Durga Prasad

Hi @ndurgaprasad,

On the Dhan App, users are prompted to select a watchlist when clicking a scrip to add it, while on Dhan Web, new scrips are added to the selected watchlist by default.

We also offer color tags in watchlists on both the Dhan App and Web.

That said, we understand your feedback and will work on adding more customisation options for tags in future updates.

Hi @ndurgaprasad Welcome to MadeForTrade community.

Dhan has introduced custom Colour Tags for this usecase…
