Introducing: All New F&O Watchlist on Dhan App

Hi Traders,

For Traders, we understand that a watchlist is more than just a list of Stocks and Indices. At Dhan we want to make sure it is a personalized radar guiding your trading day. Whether you are a seasoned trader chasing rapid price movements or a long-term investor tracking trends, a well-organized watchlist keeps you ahead of the curve.

We have also innovated a bit on Watchlists from our early days, by introducing features and capabilities like - Color Watchlists, Invested watchlist by default, Corporate Action, tracking Stock Performance from day added, upload via CSV,, quickly create watchlist and fast uploads via Camera. Not just the features, we also have allowed users to add shortcuts to Indices Snapshots, Summary and Option Chains directly in their respective watchlists.

Yes - we understand that Watchlist for Traders is a critical tool, and that is why we have continuously enhanced the watchlist experience to make your trading smoother, faster, and more intuitive. And here we are with a new update, specially for F&O users.

Introducing the All New F&O Watchlist

To enable this go to the watchlist section in your Dhan app. A new watchlist is created for everyone with the name “FnO” This watchlist is different from the regular watchlist, it includes expiry tags, shortcuts for trading tools and a redesigned interface. Here’s what makes it special:

1. Comprehensive List of Tradable Indices, including Commodities
The new watchlist includes all major tradable indices from NSE and BSE, such as Nifty, Sensex, Bank Nifty, FinNifty, Nifty Midcap Select, and Nifty Next 50. It also includes popular commodities like Crude Oil, Gold, Silver, and Natural Gas to ensure you never miss an opportunity across markets.

2. Enhanced Organization with Expiry Tags
Contracts that are expiring today or tomorrow are automatically pinned to the top, with the respective expiry tags. This feature ensures you always prioritize what matters most.

3. Quick Shortcuts for Scalpers and Option Traders
Speed is critical in trading, especially for scalpers and options traders. That is why we have added quick shortcuts to directly access scalper charts and the options chain. No more clicking through multiple tabs.

This revamp is not just about new features. It is about creating an experience that aligns with the fast-paced demands of trading for F&O traders. We believe this will redefine how you engage with your watchlist and ultimately enhance your trading performance.

We are also cooking up something special and unique for watchlists in the near future. As always, we are eager to hear your thoughts.

Your feedback has been the cornerstone of every innovation at Dhan, and we are excited to know how this new watchlist works for you and what problem we should solve next for watchlists.

Best Regards
Naman

Much needed and awaited.

Thanks :+1:

Long Awaited, Loved This Feature But Please Include This In All Watchlists

not available in tv.dhan.co

@Naman @PravinJ sir, three observations/feedbacks here -

  1. The f&o watchlist is placed in the last. Even if we bring it to first place by rearranging among multiple watchlists, it is again going to last place again once we reopen the app.

  2. In normal watchlists, if we long press on any scrip in the watchlist, we will get delete & rearrange options. But no such options in this f&o watchlist.

  3. Commodity futures are placed in between in this f&o watchlist making it difficult to reach the below NSE&BSE indices. Also, I can see the same commodity scrips are repeated twice in the watchlist. So please provide a rearrange option and remove the duplicate commodity futures. The screenshots are shared for this duplicate issue.

Yes, limitations of the TradingView library @devil_trader, we have to skip on TV Dhan console.

Hi @sri1647 Noted the same.

First I am able to replicate when app is re-opened, will have this updated. For second, this is a system watchlist and edits not possible in this case. For third, Commodities are on two different exchanges - one is MCX and other in NSE.

If possible, please introduce rearrange option within f&o watchlist wrt second & third points.

Wrt third point, is it possible to push all the commodities to the end so that all nse&bse will appear in the first display? Or otherwise rearrange option will solve this problem as well.

Hi @sri1647 Well they get scheduled on the list by expiry and market timings. We will see what we can do to optimise.

For commodities, Dhan is the 2nd largest platform for trading volumes on MCX and possibly the largest on NSE. Many of our users are active commodity traders - which I understand that it may be off for few users, it is very useful for many.

The idea of F&O watchlist is relevant shortcuts + quick info. We want to solve for that purpose as its core use-case. Users who are not into F&O can ofcourse turn it off from the settings.

i liked this feature much needed thank you Dhan

Hi Sir

I am also an F&O trader but not in commodities. So, if rearrange option is provided, users can rearrange it as per their choice during the day. Also, I don’t see they are being sorted based on expiry. I observed it in the last two days that scripts occupy same places irrespective of expiry.

If we turn off f&o from mange watchlist, the entire watchlist will disappear. So, if an option to turn off commodities or filter based on exchange is given, it will be useful. Deactivating the segment itself as an alternative is time consuming.

Also, I would be glad if the first issue pointed out is sorted out asap with some ETA given now.

pls add this f&o watchlist in web.dhan.co as well.

Sir thank you for bringing industry first features which retail traders really need in everydaylife. My request you to please provide index futures continuous charts for intraday timeframes on dhan TV web, by doing so you will be the only broker in industry which will be providing this, nobody provides futures continuous charts for intraday timeframes whether it is zerodha, upstox or angelone , nobody provides it. This will help intraday traders do their backtesting on index futures.Thank you.

Does dhan thinks traders only trade 14 fno scrips out of approx 250 fno scrips (including stocks)?
That’s so poor self promotion :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@PravinJ @Dhan any update on the first issue raised and introduction of this watchlist on web platform?

Hi. is it possible to have a watchlist ONLY of all FNO stocks of NSE with their CURRENT futures ?
I know i will need to do this manually as so far i have not found it in the app / web console… If i have missed it, then please guide how to show it in watchlist.

Hi @sri1647 We will evaluate this.

Hi @Dhan is there any update wrt the problem raised in f&o watchlist, that even if we bring it to first position, it is going to last once we relogin
