Now Live: Mutual Funds on Dhan Web! 🚀

Dear Investors,

Our Mutual Fund journey began in December 2023, when we introduced Direct Mutual Funds through Early Access, with a simple goal: to make long-term investing an integral part of Dhan.

As always with Dhan, we keep improving your overall product & investing experience from the day we ship them, of course based on the suggestions and feedback we receive from you. In line with that, we have continued to make Mutual Funds investing - more flexible and accessible.

We made mutual fund investing smarter by introducing simplified fund discovery, brought in an alpha-view to identify index beating Mutual Funds, enabled External MF tracking, quick portfolio top-ups, and flexible investing through Daily & Weekly SIPs. As many of our users on Dhan are Super Traders, we understood their need to pledge the Mutual Fund units and hence introduced Demat format for holding Mutual Funds for trading margin while keeping their long-term investments intact. We also enabled users to Transfers Mutual Funds - existing Demat Mutual Fund holdings from other brokers to Dhan without redeeming them, making portfolio consolidation easier. We also introduced switching from commission-based Regular to lower-cost Direct Plans, automatic SIP step-ups through SIP Plus+, and Mutual Fund investing for HUFs and Minors.

Throughout this journey, one question kept coming up in our community: When will Mutual Funds be available on Dhan Web?

And expectations went beyond just buying and selling Mutual Funds. Traders & Investors wanted better tools to research and compare schemes, analyse performance, evaluate risks and costs, and manage your investments from desktop.

We are very happy to share that we’ve now built the experience you’ve been asking for.

Investing in Mutual Funds is now LIVE on Dhan Web! :tada:

Here’s What’s New for Mutual Funds on Web

  1. Simplified Fund Discovery & Investing: Discover Mutual Funds across Equity, Hybrid, Debt, Index, Commodity and Global categories with a single click. Explore NFOs, find funds using advanced filters, and invest directly on Dhan Web through SIPs, SIP Plus+, Lumpsum or Top-up.

  2. Track Portfolio: You were already tracking your portfolio on Dhan Web, we just made the experience a bit simpler and faster.

  3. Advanced Research & Comparison: Look beyond returns and ratings of schemes. Evaluate funds performance using risk and performance ratios, fund size (AUM) and exit load filters. Compare schemes side by side to make informed investment decisions.

  4. Invest & Manage in One Place: Start SIPs, make lump-sum investments or Invest multiple Mutual Funds through a common cart, and place and track your orders directly on Dhan Web.

  5. Deeper Portfolio Insights: Track your portfolio’s performance, identify holdings outperforming market indices, and see how your investments are allocated across schemes and sectors.

Bringing Mutual Funds to the Web involved more than adapting our mobile experience. We’ve improved scheme discovery, built deeper research capabilities, and brought investing, payments and portfolio management together on desktop.

We know this has been a long wait, and we appreciate your patience and the feedback you’ve continued sharing with us. Many of the features we’ve introduced on Dhan started with suggestions from this community, and Mutual Funds on Web is another step in that journey.

You can watch this video to understand more about the Mutual Fund on Dhan Web experience:

Try out the web experience and tell us what you like, what we can improve and what you’d like us to build next.

Happy Investing,
Saurav

Mutual Funds are now live on Dhan Web. You can open web.dhan.co today and find it there.

This post is for every one of you who asked us for it. Some of you asked once, and some of you asked every year. Some of you started threads, and some of you backed other people’s asks. Every message was seen. Thank you for reaching out, and thank you for being so patient with us. We know “not yet” was not an easy answer to keep hearing. Here is our thank-you to each of you.

You kept following up, again and again:

@encore, you have been with us on this since 2023, across 10 posts. You asked for a simple web view like Kuvera’s, and for HUF, NEFT/RTGS and folio-level XIRR.

@ravi_krishna, you wrote 12 posts and followed up every single year, in 2024, 2025 and 2026. You even started your own feature request so we could compare funds, invest and set up SIPs on a big screen.

@AG001, you kept the “Mutual Fund Features” thread going for over two years, across 10 posts. You gave us the most detailed list of fund metrics anyone has shared, from rolling returns to Sharpe and Sortino.

@nitishbangera, you asked us 11 times, and you never let the topic go quiet. You wanted MF pages on web as rich as our ETF pages, with returns, AUM and fund types in one place.

@Akhilesh_Kumar, you asked three years in a row and started two threads. You asked for step-up SIPs, fund comparison, SWP and STP.

@specter, you wrote 6 posts and put “Mutual Funds on website” on your 2025 wishlist. Along the way you helped shape demat MFs, HUF support and much more.

@peeruverma09, you wrote 5 posts across two threads and pushed hard for MF pledging and web access. Both are live now.

@mkbhaiji, you started “Why we can not buy MF through Dhan Web?” and came back three times. You wanted to bring your MFs to Dhan and pledge them for margin.

@SmallCapHunter, you started the very first thread on this in January 2024. In a way, this whole journey began with your question.

@ValueInvestor0, you were one of the earliest to ask, back in November 2023, and you asked us to stop keeping features app-only.

You started threads and told us exactly what to build:

@DHIRAJ_PESWANI, you asked for either a separate portal like Coin or MFs inside the main web platform. We went with the second, so it sits right inside web.dhan.co.

@D_Saha, you started a thread asking to buy and pay for MFs from the desktop. You can now.
@Pankaj4, you asked for the MF portfolio on web because it is so much easier to read on a laptop. It is there now, split by scheme and sector.

@sameer.daas, you listed exactly what was missing: SIP setup, a dashboard and tracking in the browser. All three are live.

@Yogan, you wanted to research funds in many tabs on a big screen, and now you can.

@nibeditadas, your feature request was one of the most thought-through we have seen. It covered demat or SOA, daily SIPs, STP, SWP and even a gains-only SWP.

@rnhota, you started the “Mutual Fund on Web Terminal” thread in April 2024 and asked for MF pledging for F&O. Both are done.

@t7support, on day one of MFs on Dhan, you spotted that they were in the app but not on web, and you asked for pledging the same day.

@dhanuser1, you told us your two must-haves before moving your MFs to Dhan. MF on web was one of them, and it is ticked off now.

@VijayNair, you said you always invest from desktop, and you challenged us to match Value Research and do better. We loved that.

You told us how you actually invest, and it shaped this:

@lalithsai101, you asked three times to open funds in new tabs and compare them properly. That is exactly how it works now.

@AYUSH, you use Dhan Web most of the time for investing. You also suggested a simple way for us to share progress on big features, and that was a thoughtful idea.

@manikwalia, you said nobody wants to make a large net banking payment on a phone. That point stayed with us.

@SouvikPaul, you asked for MFs on web along with switches and STP. The web part is done, and the rest is noted.

@nx.vijay, you made a simple, fair point: unless MFs are on web, we will never know how many people want them there.

@Yogesh_Mohite, one of the first things you did on MadeForTrade was ask for this, because many investors rely on desktop for analysis.

@rrhc1504, you asked about STP and about investing in many funds at once. The cart on web now lets you do the second.

@amitranj, you asked for MF pledging for option sellers and told us roadmaps take too long. That was fair, and pledging is live.

@viswaram, you told us you prefer the browser so you can keep a few things open at once. Now you can, for MFs too.

@VAggarwal, you asked for MF investing on laptop “on an urgent basis” back in February 2024. It took longer than you wanted, so thank you for waiting.

You asked, and you waited patiently with us:

@anwarultqm, you asked us for even a rough timeline. Here is the real answer: it is live.

@Mansata_HUF, you checked in last December for an update. Thank you for staying with us.

@Sneh_Priya, you asked in March 2025 when we could expect it. Questions like yours kept it on the list.

@Theinfinitygod, you asked kindly whether MF on web was still on the cards. It was, and it is here now.
@Unlearn_Relearn, you asked for a timeline in June 2024. Thank you for being so patient since.

@U.S, when you were told MFs on web would come first and US Stocks on web would follow, you said it made total sense. The first step is done.

@Vishal19, your detailed MF feedback in April helped us, and we hope the bigger screen makes things easier for your family too.

@aditya34608, you pointed out that the MF blocks on the web home page could not be used. They can now.

@ameethwasckar, back in 2022 you asked to see your portfolio against a benchmark on web. The new MF portfolio now shows which holdings are beating the market.

And to everyone who backed these asks with a like, thank you too. Every like told us more people wanted this:

@aabhas_rohilla, @iajay and @Sandeep, you backed ValueInvestor0’s call for better MF support on web.
@rustam, you backed encore’s ask.

@BIR, you backed Sneh_Priya’s question.

@Tiger_Wolf and @dazzler263, you backed specter’s asks.

@Nik1, @Someone, @RishabhJain and @Ritz, you backed AG001’s detailed requests, and @Nik1 and @Someone also backed ravi_krishna’s and specter’s.

@pavz and @Ramesh_Vegi, you backed ravi_krishna’s requests, and @pavz also backed sameer.daas’s.
@KushagraJain, you backed sameer.daas’s post.

@rinkeshgala1, you backed both SmallCapHunter’s and Unlearn_Relearn’s asks.

@rautniraj, you backed Akhilesh_Kumar’s thread.

@GOPAL_MAKWANA and @MajuN2024, you backed nibeditadas’s feature request.

@krishag, you backed VAggarwal’s ask.

We also know your list does not end here. SWP is next in line, and STP, switching between schemes and folio-level XIRR are all noted. We would rather be honest than promise dates, so we will keep updating you right here.

Please try it on web.dhan.co and tell us what you think, the good and the bad. Your feedback got us here, and it will make this better. :blue_heart:

Yes @RahulDeshpande , this is a great addition. However, I have been requesting mutual funds in demat form for non-individual accounts (like corporate accounts) since before Dhan even launched mutual funds. Many others in the community have asked for the same. I’m not sure why Dhan is so reluctant to implement this when other brokers offer it seamlessly.

Hi @t7support We build things incrementally and have made a note of this as well.

Thanks @PravinJ My corporate clients are still crying out for this and atleast over a year I have been pushing this to your notes. Dhan already has mutual funds in demat form. Just need to turn on the corporate account switch…:slightly_smiling_face:

Sir, I wish it were as simple as turning on the corporate accounts switch! :slightly_smiling_face: There’s a little more involved behind the scenes, but we hear you and understand the need.
